A supposed member of the criminal cell La Unión Tepito was murdered on the streets of the Guerrero neighborhood in Mexico City (CDMX). Dorian Andrés Garduño Espinoza, also known as "El Arnol", was the victim of a shooting in the area. Journalist Carlos Jiménez reported on the tragic event, detailing that Garduño Espinoza had been arrested at least twice before by the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC) and the Attorney General's Office (FGJ) for his involvement in criminal activities.
It has been noted that, despite Garduño Espinoza's previous arrests, the competent authorities had released him on previous occasions. Jiménez stated that while the capital's authorities released the criminal, he continued to operate for La Unión Tepito, one of the most dangerous criminal groups in the Mexican capital.
The deceased, known as "El Arnol", was responsible for activities such as extortion, kidnapping, and torture on behalf of La Unión Tepito. In the incident, in addition to his murder, three people were injured by gunfire. So far, the CDMX authorities have not provided an official statement regarding the crime in the Guerrero neighborhood.
Journalist Carlos Jiménez highlighted in his reports the dangerous participation of Garduño Espinoza in this criminal organization, emphasizing the repeated arrests of the now-deceased, as well as his involvement in criminal practices such as extortion and torture. The tragic death of "El Arnol" has caused shock in the city, once again highlighting the presence of violent criminal groups operating in the Mexican capital.
